YOUTH GROUP PROJECT! LETS HELP THE HOMELESS SHELTER!

IMPORTANT NOTICE FROM THE ST LUKE’S YOUTH GROUP

Cause: Bucks County Emergency Homeless Shelter **Approximately 350 people are homeless in Bucks County. More than 1/3 are children.***

Youth Group is hosting a Game Day, Bake / Candy Bags Sale, & Drop Off Donations Event

THE PLAN: The youth group will have drop off boxes set up at the church to collect donations for the Bucks County Homeless Shelter. The items that are being collected are from the URGENT WISH LIST from the Shelter. They will be collecting items from the community 11 am to 12 pm on Sundays starting January 5th. The last day they are accepting donations will be February 2nd, where they will host a BOARD GAME DAY! A fun event where we invite the community in to play games with their neighbors!

The youth will create candy bags at their next meeting (Jan. 16th) & bake cookies and cupcakes (Feb. 1st) in the church. These items will be “sold” at the game day with a “pay what you can” donation jar system. The monetary donations made from the bake and candy sale will be used to purchase cots for the homeless shelter. All donated items and cots purchased will be delivered by our Youth Group the following week!
