About Us

The congregation of St. Luke Lutheran Church of Ferndale, PA, established 1752, is a Christ centered community which continues to be faithfully committed to the proclamation of God’s Word. We are dedicated to glorifying our Lord through worship, learning and outreach ministry; serving and caring for the individual, the family, the community and the world.

To the glory of Christ, We are to be Christ centered servants spreading the gospel and serving those in need.

With the help of God, we will attempt to fulfill this mission through our work to serve him in the following ministry areas: Witness, Support, Learning, Service and Worship.

As many of us remember, St. Luke’s United Church of Christ shared our building in Ferndale until they sold their half to the Lutheran congregation and moved to Ottsville in 1976. We will again be united with St. Luke’s United Church of Christ.

Our new shared ministry makes us pioneers, being the first Lutheran congregation in the Southeastern Synod to share a pastor with a United Church of Christ congregation.

The idea for our shared ministry is for each congregation to maintain their identity and building while doing outreach, confirmation, Bible studies and Sunday School together.

Our worship service here at St. Luke Lutheran Church of Ferndale, PA will start at 10:00 AM.
